Remotely Controlled Hydraulic Excavator

Description
2019
This is a remote-controlled hydraulic excavator made by me and my team during our second year of civil engineering. This project was mainly focused to solve the problem that during disasters like landslides, it is risky to operate excavators by human operators. Thus, during such time remotely controlled equipment would help minimize the risk of any loss of human life.
This model consists of three motors that compress or pulls syringe and drives syringes attached to the arms of the excavator. Similarly, it has four DC motors to move forward, backward, left, and right. It can also rotate 360 degrees around its vertical axis. All the hardware is controlled with help of Arduino Mega and the micro-controller is communicated through a mobile application.
This project was featured on a very popular social media page in Nepal. Here is the link for the post.
